Nothing just happens

Trusting trumps trying because a man obtains grace through faith alone, not by his works. But once set free through grace, he finds that he cannot lay dormant—he will want to show others that they too can unlock the door of their cell and walk in freedom.

Such a man will also work to alleviate suffering by providing for urgent needs, knowing that this produces hope, without which a man will remain enslaved to sin, a state from which the acceptance of grace is impossible. This is how a man freed through grace leads a productive life.

Armed with that desire a man engages forcefully with the World, not because he is of it but rather because while he is in it there is much work for him to do. Just as his freedom came from the work of others, he knows that he must work as well, because nothing just happens.
