A man who does not pray is prey
Prayer is the daily habit of talking to God to strengthen one’s faith. It is one of the spiritual disciplines—those habits that transform us from men of the World into men of God.
Prayer builds character, which is a man’s primary defense against the World and the forces of evil that would separate him from God. Without character, a man is like a soldier going into battle without armor. He exposes himself to the enemy.
Evil seeks low hanging fruit, preying upon the vulnerable and exposed man who has not armored himself through prayer.
Which is why a man who does not pray is prey.

My daily prayer meditiation and conversation with my Father has helped my avoid the splinter. I still hear him whispering but not as loudly. My full armor of God helps me deflect his attacks.
