THE PLAN

God’s Plan to solve the Problem is the reconciliation and transformation of his people. Through the Splitter’s temptation of Adam and Eve sin entered the World to separate us from God and make man its slave. As slaves to sin we cannot be in right relationship with our creator who is perfect. But this is not what God wants.

To reconcile is to return to friendly relations. This is what God wants, to return us to right relationship with Him in the original design. For this to occur, we must transform from slaves to sin into slaves to righteousness. To transform is to make a thorough and dramatic change in character. Once we were God’s enemies but transformed, we become His children again—as we were to be in His original design.

Reconciliation and transformation result in eternal life with God, which comes at a cost. But not one that we pay. Instead, Christ paid the ransom of reconciliation with his blood. This is God’s Plan, that because He so loves us, He sent His only son to pay the ransom so that whoever believed in Him would not perish (John 3:16). And it is by that belief in the son alone that we are set free from sin and reconciled with the father.

He paid the price to set us free.
