Groups—whether communities, organizations, or teams—succeed when they include at least one “Steve.” The more Steves, the more effective the group. Without a Steve, effectiveness suffers.

Who is Steve?

Steve is the proactive leader who doesn’t wait for others to act—he is the one who acts. Unlike those who follow established paths, Steve creates them. He leads by example, setting direction and inspiring others to follow.

What drives Steve?

Steve is committed to both the group’s mission and its members, balancing these priorities through principled leadership. He is focused on outcomes but remains mindful of the impact on people.

What doesn’t matter to Steve?

Titles, recognition, and power hold no sway over him. He leads not for status or control, but through influence—his words and actions spark movement and purpose in others.

What fulfills Steve?

Seeing the group thrive and helping others become Steves. His legacy is leadership multiplied.

How to be Steve

Learn what Steve knows. Embody his values. Act as he does. That’s the essence of Being Steve.
